
The Speed Editor is charged by and can connect to your computer via an optional USB Type-C cable. The Speed Editor is small enough to take with you on location, and its built-in battery allows you to use Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor via Bluetooth for a wire-free connection. It interfaces with macOS or Windows editing systems running DaVinci Resolve, providing you with keyboard shortcuts and controls that speed up your editing, compared to using a mouse to navigate your edit system.

Because of its weighting, you can quickly rotate the metal scroll control to move quickly back and forth in the timeline. The DaVinci Resolve keyboard gives you a higher quality cutting experience because its physical contact gives you more intimate touch with the cutting process than a simple computer mouse. The seek slider offers you a whole new way of working when cutting and trimming! In concrete terms this means: DaVinci Resolve delivers the next generation of editing. And because it works so precisely, it is of course faster. Together with the Trim buttons, the large seek slider is used for live trimming.


It almost feels like holding the Timeline in your hand. Unlike the mouse, the metal, soft-rubber-covered seek slider allows you to search accurately in the timeline and set cut points.

Tactile controls to get to grips with the keyboard make for a much more pleasant user experience than if you were just cutting in the software.
